Carat weight or size is the most obvious factor in determining the value of a diamond.
Carat (ct) is a unit of weight. One carat weights 200 milligrams of 1/5th of a gram.
A ct is divided in 100 points, for example 75 points is described as three quarter ct or 0.75 ct
